Nude Makeup - Show off your natural Beauty

Nude makeup lets you look naturally beautiful boosting your skin’s tone without being seen....in others words ‘barely there’ but does not mean boring and flat makeup.  Today's nude isn't a boring beige anymore, according to Bobby Brown.

It means picking flesh colours that harmonize your complexion. Fair skins should opt for honey or off white like beiges, medium coloured skins go for warm colours like yellowish, orangey browns and caramel while darker skins complement with chocolate, golden and terracotta hues.

Personally this is a makeup style that I like and suits my personality.

Follow these Nude Makeup Tips

Base colour

With nude and natural makeup, an even skin tone becomes the primary focus. However it should be applied lightly. Go for a tinted moisturizer or sheer foundation.

Add a little sparkle to the eyes. Highlight with a shimmery eye shadow or blush to make them the center of attraction. Go for separating mascara instead of a volumizing one, and skip eyeliner.

Lips should not be too glossy or too matte.  Apply a creamy lipstick or balm.

Fair Skin

Eye lids are covered with a shimmery light brown or peach shadow. Highlight brow bone and inner eye corners with pale champagne.

Cheeks: Enhance the colour of fair skin by applying a honey-apricot blusher on the apples then move it toward the temples.

Lips: Keep it light and neutral in pink or beige to give a glow to lips.  A peach lipstick or gloss is a perfect for every skin tone, giving definition, warm and fresh.

Groom your brows and fill them in sparingly with a brow pencil as they define your face. A black liner closely on the lashes will make them look thicker. Curl your lashes to make eyes look bigger and some lengthening mascara. Add sparkle to eyes by applying a touch of pearl-colored highlighter on the inside corner and right over the pupil.

For a glowing skin go for a tinted moisturizer all over your face and only conceal where you need it. Dust a light translucent powder to seal everything but don’t go overboard.

Eyes: Cover lids in a pale golden-bronze.

Cheeks: Go for soft pinkish-browns and apply as usual starting under the cheekbones and out toward your temples.

Lips: Opt for purples with warm plum-pink undertones.

Which colors to use for Dark Skin?

Eyes: Cover lids, creases and on bottom lash lines with a golden-brown.

Cheeks: Apply a chocolate-brown blush under your apples out toward your temples. Highlight cheekbones with golden-bronze.

Lips: Continuing on the bronze-gold colour scales, these colours enhance your natural rich brown.
