Anti Aging beauty products

anti aging beauty products

Anti aging beauty products are not the only solution to hide our age. While there is nothing we can do to avoid aging there are some steps you can take against anti aging. And some of us do try anything to avoid the signs of getting older.....or wiser. We are terrified of wrinkles. Me included.

Our skin has its own anti aging mechanism. It has two types of protein that keep it firm and young: collagen and elastin that work in conjunction with oil-secreting glands to keep it soft, and the fat beneath adds shape to our bodies. So when growing up the production of all these four starts to decrease and thin out leaving us with dry, saggy skin.

A Surefire Plan to Looking (and Feeling) Younger
If you give your engine good fuel it will work well and enjoy a pleasant appearance. Fortify your body on the inside with good food and your exterior will benefit too. Good nutrition and rest do the trick. What you eat is How you feel and how you feel is how you look.  The following are considered anti aging beauty products.

You Are What You Eat

anti aging blueberries

A surefire way to accelerate aging is consuming sugars and grains, junk and processed food, increasing your insulin levels. Your body has to work hard to remove these toxins. Eating pure whole foods give nutrients to your body, skin and hair. Its useless using anti aging beauty products to reverse the signs with this approach.

Anti Aging Food
Certain types of food help you look younger acting as anti aging beauty products. Blueberries are rich in antioxidants (that fight free radicals). The USDA ranked blueberries at the Number One in antioxidant activity compared to 40 fruits and vegetables.
Look for blueberries, either organically cultivated or in capsule form. A potent arm against aging.

Another anti-aging beauty product and food is coconut oil, which has to be certified safe to eat. Substitute coconut oil when using other oils, margarine, butter and shortening. Go for organic, cold pressed, extra virgin coconut oil. Coconut oil is a fantastic moisturizer and a powerful source of the beneficial fat lauric acid capable of antiviral, antimicrobial, antiprotozoal and antifungal properties killing the lipid membranes in organisms like fungus, bacteria and viruses.

It prevents free-radicals and protects, heals and repairs. It can help to keep the skin blemish-free caused by aging, over exposure to sunlight, and it helps keeping connective tissues strong and supple.

Did you know some vitamins, minerals and enzymes can lend a lifting hand, too? Vitamins ACE, minerals and proteins (enzymes) found in darkly-colored fruits and vegetables contain the most beta-carotene and anthocyanins), nuts, and legumes.  Our cell membranes absorb vitamin E, it has the ability not only to repair but also prevents future damag acting against anti aging.

Fats that fight Aging

Certain fats are good as an anti aging beauty products. Omega-3 fatty acids nourish skin cells keeping the skin tight and plump. Some good sources are organic oily fish like salmon, tuna, herring and sardines while nuts and their oils like almonds, walnuts, flaxseed and sunflower seeds are all good natural resources of fatty acids.
Tuna, salmon, nuts and legumes are abundant in two particular trace minerals: selenium and copper. Selenium neutralizes free radicals from damaging the cells while Copper helps build the skin’s proteins: elastin and collagen.

Drink plenty of pure water daily, to hydrate your body and aid in toxic elimination.

Smile and Sleep Enough

Many health professionals recommend a good night’s sleep. No wonder the term beauty sleep, an anti aging beauty product that does not cost you anything. At night your body recharges, repairing cells. You have to give this right to your body if you want to age gracefully and healthy. Miss a night’s sleep and it will show on your face. Take time to reduce stress and enjoy life. Stress triggers illnesses and diseases. Adults should sleep for 7 to 9 hours every night letting your body produce enough human growth hormone which is your own anti aging tool. If you don’t get enough quality sleep your body produces stress hormones which disrupt your body’s ability to maintain itself. Too much of this stress can make your skin dry, more prone to infections, vulnerable to sunlight and wrinkles.

A personal herbal aid I am trying at the moment is Bach Remedies Rescue Night bought from a local health shop. It helps reducing your mind from over thinking. The Night formula seems to be more powerful than the Day. It is a blend of five flowers:
Rock Rose: for terror and panic
Impatiens:  for irritation and impatience
Clematis: for inattentiveness and lacking interest in life
Star of Bethlehem: for shock
Cherry Plum: for irrational thoughts and fear of losing control

Protect Your Skin from the Sun

Protecting against the sun's UV rays is essential to healthy skin. Go for higher protection in hot and harsh weather conditions in particular countries, with protection against both UVA and UVB radiation. Some sunscreens have added Vitamin E and soy isoflavones, both for regenerating and protecting against cell damage. Apply generously throughout the day.

Moisturizing your skin can help keeping wrinkles at bay. Another anti aging beauty product is moisturizer. Look for ones  with proteins such as collagen or keratin. Serums are a good option to anti aging, specifically designed to help skin regenerate. Use day and night for optimal results. Some come as whitening or coloured for day use.

An all natural moisturizer is pure emu oil – a great facial and body moisturizer and lotion.

As you can see anti aging does not start at a particular age, rather we have to change our perspective to start living holistically, reducing grains and sugars from our diet, being active, drinking more water and taking care of our skin using natural and organic anti aging beauty products.
